Denton was supposed to be four years. Now life looks very different than it did at 19, and you’re figuring out what you want next.
virtual therapy · denton, tx
I’ve lived in Denton for 20 years. I earned both of my degrees at UNT, and this is where I’m raising my family. I don’t have an office on the Square, though. Every session happens online, so you can talk to me from your living room or anywhere else in Texas.
If you’ve been thinking about therapy and keep putting it off, this is your sign. Book a free 15-minute consult and see if we’re a good fit.
Denton is a college town and a commuter town at the same time. Between UNT, TWU, and I-35 splitting into 35E and 35W right here, a lot of us spend our days heading somewhere else. Adding a drive to a therapy office on top of all that is usually what makes people skip it.
Virtual sessions take the drive out of it. No hunting for parking around the Square, no sitting in traffic on Loop 288, no waiting room. You log in from wherever you are and we get to work.
And because I live here, you don’t have to explain Denton to me. I know how busy this town gets when the semester starts, and how many people here are juggling school, work, and family all at once.

You drive south every morning and north every night, and by the time you get home there’s nothing left for you.
Work, school pickup, dinner, bedtime. You’d like one hour a week that isn’t about anybody else.
You replay conversations and run worst-case scenarios long after you’ve gone to bed.
A loss, a breakup, a move, a new job. Life looks different now and you’re still finding your footing.
I’m eclectic on purpose. Sometimes you need someone to just listen. Sometimes we need to challenge the story you’ve been telling yourself, and that’s where CBT and REBT come in. Sometimes your body needs some help catching up, so we use mindfulness. And when the past keeps showing up in the present, I’m EMDR trained.
I remember things. I’ll notice your patterns, and I’ll probably remember what you told me three months ago. If the homework didn’t happen, I’m not going to lecture you. We’ll figure out what got in the way and try again.
Perfection does not exist. We are human!
No. I live in Denton, but my practice is 100% virtual. Every session happens on SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so there’s nothing to drive to.
Yes, as long as you’re 18 or older and physically in Texas during your session. I’m private pay only, so I don’t bill student insurance. Both campuses also have their own counseling centers if that fits you better.
