This is your hour. Not your partner’s, not your kids’, not your boss’s. Just you, and whatever you want to work on.
I help adults recognize their patterns, understand where they come from, and stop repeating the ones that aren’t helpful.
Work, family, everyone else’s needs. You’ve been the reliable one for so long that your own needs keep sliding to next week.
You replay conversations, run through worst-case scenarios, and wish you could turn it off for a minute.
A loss, a breakup, a move, a new job, a new baby. Life looks different now and you’re still figuring out where you fit.
Same kind of relationship, same argument, same reaction. You can see it. You just can’t seem to stop it yet.
You don’t need a crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes you just want to understand yourself better.
We’ll start with what brought you here and what you want to be different. From there, we look at the patterns underneath it: where they came from and what keeps them going. Then we figure out what to actually do about it, one step at a time.
I’m eclectic on purpose. Person-centered when you need to be heard. CBT and REBT when we’re untangling a thought or challenging the story you’ve been telling yourself. Mindfulness when your body needs some help catching up. EMDR when the past keeps showing up in the present.
There’s no perfect way to do this. If the homework didn’t happen, I’m not going to lecture you. We’ll figure out what got in the way and adjust.
You can’t help anybody else if you’re not okay.
During your intake (first) session we will discuss your needs and goals, which will help us determine how often your sessions will be. All decisions about your sessions and schedule are made collaboratively.
About 50 to 55 minutes. Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as needed.
I can diagnose within the scope of counseling. I don’t do formal assessments or testing, like ADHD evaluations. If something is outside my lane, I’ll tell you and help point you to someone whose it is.
